Intellectual capital report figures
The university publishes gender-related key figures in its annual intellectual capital report. The legally prescribed gender parity in collegial bodies has been largely implemented at the University of Vienna. In 2025, the gender pay gap among professors showed balanced income levels in some groups, while in the large group of professors according to § 98 UG, the gender pay gap was just under 10 %. The highest gender pay gap was found among professors according to § 99/1 UG. In 2025, the proportion of women in appointment procedures was consistently around or above 40%, apart from the proportion of female applicants.
